Continuing on our new poll feature here on Thoughts On Film we have decided to change from asking what your favourite release of the previous month was – June’s winner was William Friedkin’s unforgettable Killer Joe – to ask which movie that’s yet to be released in 2012 are you most anticipating?
Many of the big films are behind us now but there’s still plenty more to look forward to. As always the poll will be available in this, its own individual post, and permanently at the bottom right of the home page.
Please vote below for your most anticipated! Note: This poll pertains to the UK release schedule and therefore some highly anticipated movies like Django Unchained and Lincoln, which aren’t released until early 2013, are not included. Also, only after posting the poll and voting commenced did we realize Gangster Squad has been pushed back to 2013. You can still vote for it as your most anticipated, however.
It’s a tie for me between Taken 2 and Skyfall
If you HAD to choose, though? 😉
Ummm…Django Unchained!!! How did that not make your list of films Ross? It’s QT man!!!!
As I said in the post, it’s the UK cinema release schedule, Django doesn’t come out until January 18th here (unfortunately).
Oh I missed that. Sorry man. Well according to UK release schedule than I will say Gangster Squad.
No problem. Also, you picked the one there’s a kind-of problem with: Gangster Squad has been pushed back because of the Aurora cinema shootings. Well, at least in the U.S., maybe the 2012 UK release date will still stand.
You’re killing me Smalls. Then my next pick would be Lawless. Something wrong with that one too?
There are a few others that I am highly anticipating such as Looper, Lawless, Gangster Squad, Hobbit, Skyfall, and Bourne Legacy. But Django Unchained tops them all for me!!
I was very much torn between Taken 2 and The Hobbit. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Liam Neeson break faces but I think I’ll lose all sense of what is reality once I go and see The Hobbit. The Hobbit it is!
Fine choice sir!
The Hobbit is the BIG one for me. With The Master and Skyfall and close second. I’m going to be ridiculously excited when it comes out.
Sightseers for me.
