Welcome! Thoughts On Film is a website celebrating all things film. Here you’ll find movie reviews  – of new and old releases alike – features and general musings on the world of cinema.

The website is run and written by myself, Ross Miller, a freelance writer, editor, film reviewer, blogger and copywriter based just outside of Glasgow, Scotland. As a reviewer for this website I am an official member of the OFCS (Online Film Critic Society). I have over 12 years experience writing for various different sites along the way including Screen Rant, Blog Critics, Row Three and Twitch Film. writing everything from film reviews, features, news posts and festival coverage.

In June 2012 I graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with an Honours Degree in Media & Communication, when I eventually became the the freelance Film/TV editor for Scotcampus, a student-focused magazine/website for which I provide three weekly articles including a film guide.

In addition to editing and writing for ToF, I was also the contributing film critic for The National, the newspaper that supports an independent Scotland, where I cover the weekly films, film festivals and occasional film-related features between late 2015 and late 2018.

Please also know that in addition to me running this site I am available for hire as a freelance writer, proofreader and copywriter, whether it be reviews, features, news coverage or web copy.
